BEHIND THE MASK

Although the majority of Alex's life is, and has always been, dominated by hockey, there is another life behind the mask!

Naturally reserved and observant, Alex is quiet, persevering and dedicated to whatever comes his way as a student, friend and athlete. Whether it's school, relationships or other activities, Alex's reserve belies a fiercely competitive drive to learn, grow, succeed and win. A natural leader with a calm and commanding presence, Alex was naturally drawn to the challenge and responsibility of goaltending at a young age. The singular position in net defines and enhances his best traits: leadership, self-reliance, physical strength and the desire to protect those closest to him.

In addition to hockey, Alex excelled as a student at Kent School where he graduated in 2019 with honors. Raised not to be just a hockey player, but an 'all around athlete', Alex also plays lacrosse, tennis, baseball and basketball. He possesses a broad perspective on how the discipline, challenges and brotherhood of any athlete's path enrich every area of life. Whatever goal he sets his mind to, Alex works at maximum capacity to achieve it. He is at his best in the most challenging of circumstances where others might shrink from the task. For this reason, he is known as a 'finisher' who won't let you down.

Although school and hockey have dominated his time, a few other favorite things are important: animals especially dogs, great music, beach and boating activities, cooking and time spent with family and friends. Loyal, big-hearted, honest and driven are the words that best describe him. The sacrifices he has made in his dedication to hockey since the age of four reflect a deeply held commitment to himself and others and to a level of excellence he expects to achieve in every aspect of his life.
